Penelakut First Nation Hul’q’umi’num Carved Cedar Rounds

Our Process
The smun'eem of Penelakut First Nation came together to sand, carve, paint and resin cedar rounds from a fallen X’pey (Western Red Cedar) tree. These carved cedar rounds represent what the children hear, see, and feel when they are on the Spaal 'i' Skwitth'uts Shelh (Raven and Stellar Jay Trail).
